Ludhiana: While the whole world is fighting Covid-19 (Coronavirus), there are some people who can cause the virus to spread by not following the instructions provided by the government.
The police department will now issue challans to deal with such people.
More than 200 such challans books have been issued from the Civil Surgeon’s Office to the Traffic Office.
A.S.P. Traffic Gurdev Singh said that the challan books are being issued to the teams of traffic police, police station, and P.S.R.
Authorities will be able to issue cash invoices to individuals who do not wear masks, spit in public places, and violate privacy. People will be fined Rs 200 for not wearing a mask, Rs 100 for spitting in public places, and Rs 500 for violating privacy.
He hoped for the cooperation of the people so that the war with this terrible epidemic could be fought together.
