Visiting an Island Resort
For my birthday this year, I’m visiting an island resort with all sorts of incredible features and picturesque views! To me, there is nothing quite as rewarding as sitting on a secluded beach, watching the sunset, and drinking a tasty margarita.
This trip will also be a perfect opportunity to bond with my husband. He loves heights, we’re planning on taking a mountain tour and a private helicopter tour. We’re also going to go for long, romantic walks along the beach. Simply put, there’s a lot to do that we can’t where we’re from, and I couldn’t be more excited to celebrate another year on Earth in such a unique way!
A Full Spa Weekend to Myself
Believe it or not, the resort has a full-service spa that I’m dying to try out! I’m going to spend a lot of time lounging in the sauna and soaking in the hot tub with face masks and cucumber slices over my eyes—what a perfect way to elevate my mind and body.
The best part of the spa, though, will be the peace and quiet; it’s a rare treat not to have to speak to anyone or deal with the normal anxieties of work and daily life!
Swimming with Dolphins
I’ve always wanted to see a dolphin up close, and now, I can make it happen! One of the best attractions near the resort is an aquarium full of jaw-dropping marine life, including these gorgeous gray sea creatures. You can even pet and swim with the dolphins! I can’t wait to take some pictures and post them on Instagram; my friends are going to go green with jealousy.
Throwing a Party with Family and Friends
Once my husband and I return, we are going to throw a huge party and invite a ton of friends—it’s no fun eating cake by yourself! We’re also going to hire a DJ and have them play some real crowd-pleasers. In other words, we’re going all out, but what will truly make the night is seeing so many loving smiles around us!
Going to an Amusement Park
Ever since I was a kid, I’ve loved thrill rides. In fact, some of my favorite memories took place at the local amusement park, twisting and turning and winning stuffed animals at the arcade.
It has been a few years since I’ve been to an amusement park, so why not go back? I’m an adrenaline junkie and can’t wait to get on all the roller coasters. Normally, I go with family, but this time, I’m only taking a handful of friends. My husband can stay at home!
Afterward, it would be a dream to cool off at the nearby waterpark. Which reminds me: it’s about time I went shopping for a new swimsuit!
Turning Back Time
Everyone wants to turn back time, but unfortunately, it’s not possible (yet!). I don’t want to change many things about myself, but the one thing I would love is to look a bit younger.
Luckily, there are plenty of ways to get this done! After doing some research online, I took the plunge and booked a facelift. I’d gotten tired of looking in the bathroom mirror and seeing so many crow’s feet and smile lines; gray hair is one thing, but a drooping face is another. Surgery may not be a time-machine, but I can at least look youthful again!
This facelift be a wonderful coda to an incredible birthday celebration. It’s so strange to think that next year, I will look younger than I do now. I can’t wait to feel refreshed and shock my friends!
