The BMF series on Starz has captivated millions of viewers with its portrayal of the rise and fall of the Black Mafia Family, a notorious drug trafficking and money laundering organization founded by brothers Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory in the 1980s. The show features many characters based on real-life figures who were involved with the BMF, such as B-Mickie, a childhood friend of Big Meech and Southwest T who was part of their original crew, the 50 Boyz.
But who is B-Mickie in real life and did he snitch on Big Meech? Here is what we know.
B-Mickie is based on D Meeks
B-Mickie, played by Myles Truitt, is one of the main characters in the BMF series. He is loyal, ambitious and ruthless, willing to do anything for his friends and the BMF. He is also romantically involved with Kato, another member of the 50 Boyz who turns out to be a double agent working for Lamar, a rival drug dealer.
B-Mickie’s character is based on D Meeks, a real-life associate of Big Meech and Southwest T who grew up with them in Detroit. D Meeks was also part of the 50 Boyz crew and started selling drugs at the age of 15. According to an interview with Vlad TV, D Meeks said he was close with both brothers and considered them family.
B-Mickie killed Kato and got arrested
In the season finale of BMF, B-Mickie teams up with Kato to take down Lamar after he discovers her betrayal. They arrange a meeting with Lamar at a club, where Meech also shows up with a gun. A shootout ensues, resulting in Meech killing Lamar and B-Mickie killing Kato.
However, B-Mickie’s fate takes a turn for the worse when he gets arrested by Detective Bryant, who finds the same gun that was used to kill Jame-mo, another drug dealer who was murdered by B-Mickie earlier in the season. B-Mickie is then faced with a dilemma: either he faces jail time for both murders or he helps pin down Meech.
Did B-Mickie snitch on Big Meech?
The show does not reveal whether B-Mickie snitched on Big Meech or not, but it hints that he might have done so. In the final scenes, the show flashes forward to 2005, where Meech is shown in prison. This suggests that B-Mickie might have cooperated with the authorities to reduce his sentence and implicate Meech.
However, this is not confirmed by any official sources or by D Meeks himself. In fact, D Meeks said in his interview that he was not happy with how his character was portrayed in the show and that he did not receive any compensation for it. He also claimed that he never snitched on anyone and that he was loyal to the BMF until the end.
According to Netline, Omari McCree and William Marshall were the individuals who allegedly snitched on Big Meech. Police allegedly used the pair to build a case against Demetrius Flenory and his brother Southwest T for their involvement in the Black Mafia Family.
Therefore, it is possible that B-Mickie’s character was fictionalized for dramatic purposes and that he did not snitch on Big Meech in real life. However, we will have to wait for season 2 of BMF to find out more about his story and how it affects the BMF saga.
