A blind girl lost her pencil on her way to school. She was walking with her guide dog, Max, when she felt something slip out of her backpack. She stopped and reached for her pencil case, but it was gone.
She panicked and asked Max to help her find it. She knew how important it was to have a pencil for her classes. She used a special device that allowed her to write in Braille and read what she wrote with her fingers.
She followed Max as he sniffed around the sidewalk. He barked and wagged his tail when he found something. She bent down and touched it. It was a stick.
She shook her head and told Max to keep looking. He ran ahead and barked again. She hurried after him and touched what he found. It was a straw.
She sighed and told Max to try one more time. He darted across the street and barked loudly. She crossed the street carefully and touched what he found. It was a pencil!
She smiled and hugged Max. She thanked him for finding her pencil. She checked the time on her watch and realized she was late for school.
She ran with Max to her school. She made it just in time for her first class. She took out her pencil and device and started writing.
She was happy that she had her pencil back. She knew that it was more than just a pencil. It was a tool that helped her learn and express herself.
She also knew that she had more than just a guide dog. She had a friend who cared for her and helped her when she needed him.
She felt lucky and grateful for what she had. She decided to write a story about her adventure with Max and share it with her classmates.
She hoped that they would enjoy it and learn something from it.
She began to write: “A blind girl lost her pencil on her way to school…”
