Many people already know how to play a rummy game. This is a card game where 2 decks of cards are needed with 2 Jokers. If one wants to win this card game then the player has to make a valid declaration of cards by picking and discarding them from 2 decks that are played with.
When one thinks of playing a rummy game then they should know that among the 2 decks of cards, one is a closed deck which one cannot see and they need to pick a card (every time they discard one) from the closed deck. The other deck is the open one where one keeps the discarded ones. If one wants to win the game – then they need to display a set of cards that have proper sequences.
How to play the rummy game?
When it comes to Indian rummy – the cards of each suit are placed from the low rank to the high rank (that is from Ace to King). Cards like Ace, Joker, King and Queen have 10 points each and all the other cards have points as per their numerical face value. To win this game – one has to make 2 sequences – one has to be pure and the other can be impure. Having one pure set cannot help the player to win the game. This game means one has to make a set or a sequence of 3 or more cards that are consecutive and from the same unit. For pure set cases, the cards have to be from the same set and that too in the same order. One cannot use a wild card in a pure set. But when it comes to the impure set, then there can be 3 or more cards of the same value from different sets. One can use a Joker or a wild card easily here.
When playing a rummy game – whether online or offline, there has to be at least 2 to 6 players who will sit with 2 decks of cards. All the players get 13 cards each and then a random card is selected by a player to make it a Joker of the game. As the play keeps progressing with the picking and discarding of the cards there can be one wild card that may occur to be a part of an impure set.
Once the 2 sequences of cards are made – a player can finally make a declaration to win the game. For those who are beginners, they should concentrate more on making the pure sequence at first because without that one cannot make a declaration to win. Joker always plays an important part when it comes to the impure sequence. So, if one has got it, they must keep it.
Before sitting for the game of Indian rummy, one must be aware of all the rules and regulations. Rules cannot be avoided or can be broken while playing the game and when it is a card game – the players need all the patience.
